Twelve weeks and counting

That's right, Turkey-bowlers, only eighty some days until kickoff! In years past we've goofed around oblivious to the march of time and ended up just kind of winging it. And if it was good enough for years past, it's good enough for now! No, seriously, we'd like everyone's input into the event so as to make it as cool and convenient as possible. Well, OK, I guess it couldn't get much cooler, but we might at least get some variation in the T-shirt design and artwork. So far there have been 3 designs: 1) the helmet-wearing turkey, 2) the football player catching the cooked turkey, and 3) most recently, the scared-stiff turkey. If you have any new artwork you'd like to use, send it in or post it. If it's hard copy and you don't know how to scan it, snail-mail it in. If you'd like a different colored jersey, let us know. If you just want to relive that one touchdown you scored after successfully juking Uncle Bill out of his athletic supporter, let's hear it. To quote the aforementioned jukee:

"LET'S GET READY TO FUMBLE!"

I'm psyched. I think this year, we should maybe make somebody bring breakfast and stake out a field early. That way, we get a good field AND we have a yummy incentive to wake up a little ealier AND the Moms won't be mad when we come home late, dirty, and too tired to help with dinner. Let's see, how can we choose the beakfast bringer/field staker-outer person?

i'll bring breakfast! ....will panera be open? what about krispy kreme? i'll check the websites. is that what everyone wants? something small for sure to keep us going but not so much that we won't be hungry by thanksgiving dinner time. who am i kidding? i can eat anything and everything all the time and so can most of you.

I forgot about the 2006 design. It featured 2 players, one a pilgrim and the other a, uh, native American, lined up opposite each other in a 3 point stance. So that makes 4 designs in all. Right?
